Project:Camp’s Hurricane Ian Response
Project:Camp is on the ground working to get camp up and running as schools are closed and childcare networks are down across much of the Southwestern portion of Florida.
Making Strides in Siskiyou
What stood out most for us this go around was the community support in Siskiyou. It was truly remarkable and a great testament to working with local stakeholders ahead of disasters to begin building relationships and laying out plans to support families during emergency situations.
Growing Project:Camp’s Capacity for Care
The break in fire season has also given us valuable time to continue proactive community organizing work, helping disaster-prone regions plan and implement emergency response measures that take into account the needs of families and children.
New Mexico Camp in the Books!
Our program ran for 10 consecutive days, during which we provided 1,488 hours of free, trauma-informed child care for families impacted by the wildfires.
Preparing for Fire Season
We here at Project:Camp are gearing up for a summer where demand for trauma-informed child care is continuing to grow.
